"Because Faith is best taught and lived out in the family, the Church calls parents to be the first and foremost educators of their children."
In the early years of a child's development, there is a receptivity and vulnerability to good formation which only happens in the family. Our catechesis program helps families to embrace this time and use it to form their children well.
Using this model of faith formation, parents and children will gather once a month at the parish. After an opening prayer, the children will depart for a classroom lesson with a catechist, while the parents hear a teaching on that month's theme and receive a packet of materials (specifically tailored for their family based on the number and age of children) to continue the conversation for 3 weekly sessions at home.
The At Home lessons are pre-planned, professionally printed, include games and discussion questions, and so complete that parents will not have challenges leading an effective home session.
Don't forget to check out our PRAY TOGETHER STAY TOGETHER section below for links to help you keep faith at the center of family life.

God,
Bless this food which we now take;
And do us good for Jesus Sake.
Amen
God is great,
God is good;
Let us thank Him
for our food.
Amen
Bless us, O Lord
and these your gifts
which we are about to receive
from your bounty,
through Christ, our Lord.
Amen.
Come, Lord Jesus,
be our guest;
let these gifts
to us be blessed.
Amen.
Dear Father,
for this food, we give Thee fullest thanks today.
May we use the strength it gives
to drive all sin away.
Amen.
Bless me, Lord, as this day ends.
Bless my family and all my friends.
Keep me safe throughout the night,
and wake me with the morning's light.
Now I lay me down to sleep.
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
Angels watch me through the night,
And wake me with the morning light.
Lord, now you let your servant go in peace;
your word has been fulfilled.
My eyes have seen the salvation
you have prepared in the sight of every people,
a light to reveal you to the nations and the glory of your
people, Israel.
O radiant light, O sun divine
of God the Father's deathless face,
O image of the light submlime
that fills the heav'nly dwelling place.
Lord Jesus Christ, as daylight fades,
as shine the lights of eventide,
we praise the Father with the Son,
the Spirit Blest and with them one.
O Son of God, the Source of life,
praise is your due by night and day;
unsullied lips must raise the strain of your proclaimed and splendid name.
Angel of God,
my Guardian dear,
to whom God's love
commits me here,
ever this day (or night)
be at my side,
to light and guard,
to rule and guide.
Amen.
